Best Gaming Laptop Under Rs.65,000!

It can be daunting to look for a gaming laptop considering the plethora of configurations and models available across different brands. For a comfortable and enjoyable gaming experience, the bare minimum you need is a mid-range processor and graphics (even integrated will do) and fast storage (SSD or high RPM HDDs). While you can still play older titles and a few newer ones at low settings on entry-level hardware, a slow storage drive can be terribly annoying.

Under its TUF Gaming lineup, Asus has several SKUs and out of them, the FX505DT seems to be an interesting product. Powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 3750H with integrated Vega 10 graphics and a discrete Nvidia GTX GeForce GTX 1650, it already looks like it should be ready to take on all the latest games.

In benchmark apps, Asus FX505DT performed reasonably well. It scored 3380 in 3D Mark, 1590cb in Cinebench R20,  3610 in PCMarks creative test, 4798 in superposition benchmark (1080p, High), and we got a max fps of 113.2 in Unigine Heaven Benchmark 4.0. These are fairly admirable results, though not mind-blowing by current standards.

In real-world usage, the handset could handle all day-to-day tasks and multitasking with ease and all regular games without a hitch. The temperature remained within control even with prolong gaming sessions.

In games like Crysis 3, we could manage a frame rate of 110 while playing at high graphics. For moderately heavy games like Apex Legends run at around 60fps at high settings. With heavy games like Far Cry 5 and Mad Max, frame rate further drops to around 40fps.

The Asus FX505DT is best suited for a target frame rate of 30fps to 60fps. In this bracket, the gaming experience is very well balanced or rather better than what most other gaming machines offer in the same budget.

The best part is that, like All AMD laptops, the Asus TUF Gaming FX505DT has an extremely competitive price. The laptop has quite a few imperfections, but it handles the gaming part just right and if that’s what you are primarily interested in, and if you are restricted by a budget, the FX505DT should serve you well. And yes, it’s significantly better than the similarly named last-generation FX505DY – so choose wisely.

As a midrange gaming laptop, the Asus TUF Gaming FX505DT makes a lot of sense.

The RGB lighting can be customized from the Armoury crate app, but unlike four lighting zones on high-end ROG machines, this one has only a single zone.

The keys are responsive and have 1.8mm travel, but the feedback is soft and soggy, worsened by the flex in the keyboard. So overall, this RGB-lit keyboard is great for gaming but not for typing.

The trackpad has relatively firmer feedback but isn’t befitting a gaming machine. Every now and then clicks that aren’t made on the far left and right corners don’t yield result and that can get really annoying. For gaming, most users would anyway need a dedicated mouse and thus this shouldn’t get in the way.
